OPTIMAL Mating: Uncle Mo – Point System, by Broken Vow

Point System (Broken Vow – Brownie Points, by Forest Wildcat) was trained by H. Graham Motion and bred & owned by Pin Oak Stable. She started her racing career at the age of three, winning three races, including setting a track record at Laurel Park over 1 1/8 miles in 1:46.21. She also placed second once and third once in six starts that year.

At the age of four, Point System won two races, including the HBPA S. at Presque Isle with earnings of $60,000, and placed second once in four starts. Overall, she won five races, placed second twice, and placed third once in ten starts, with total earnings of $164,850.

Point System’s dam, Brownie Points, was a talented racehorse in her own right, winning 9 races (8 stakes wins including the G3 Ouija Board Distaff) and earning a total of $951,230 during her career. Brownie Points has also produced several other notable racehorses, including Synchrony, a colt by Tapit who has won eight races (6 graded stakes wins) and earned over $956,000, and Chocolate Kisses, a filly by Candy Ride-ARG who has won four races (including the G3 Honeybee Stakes) and earned over $382,000.

Point System was sold in foal to Improbable at the 2021 Pin Oak Stud Sale held at Fasig-Tipton in Lexington, KY. Clark Shepherd of Shepherd Equine Advisers purchased Point System as agent for Larry Hirsch for $420,000. The consignor was Denali Stud.

Point System has produced three foals, including Dos Passos, a colt by Candy Ride-ARG who recently won his debut race impressively for owner Peter Brant and trainer Chad Brown. Also, an unnamed yearling colt by Improbable and a 2023 filly by Gun Runner.
