TAPTIME (f, 3, Tapiture–Elaborate, by Cherokee Run)
Taptime (f, 3, Tapiture–Elaborate, by Cherokee Run) bumped hard with a rival after the start while also bumping with another foe then dropped back while in tight. The Tapiture filly went three wide on the first turn, moved out early on the backstretch and advanced closer with a half-mile to run. Taptime went three wide on the far turn, swung five wide into the stretch and rallied on the outside. The dark bay/brown filly closed fast to get the lead just inside the furlong marker, swapped back to her inside lead while moving clear at the sixteenth-pole and proved much the best under strong handling by jockey Adam Beschizza.
Taptime is a three parts sister to Grade 3 winner Solidify (Tapizar) and to Grade 3-placed winner Peppered. She is also represented by a yearling sibling filly by Tapit.
