NEUTRALIZE (f, 2, Runhappy – Spank, by Blame)

NEUTRALIZE (f, 2, Runhappy – Spank, by Blame), with odds of 41-1 for her maiden voyage, ran next to Malibu Toast (Tapwrit) on the front end from the first furlong. The first quarter was over in 21.81 seconds, and Mighty Madison (Nyquist) joined them just after the quarter pole. Four horses were running side by side at the top of the lane. Neutralize (Runhappy) steadily dug in until the end, holding off three other horses to win by a half-length under jockey Julien Leparoux.

Neutralize’s dam, Spank, has produced a yearling colt by Demarchelier (GB) and a weanling colt by War of Will. Also, Spank is a half-sister to MGSW Just Jenda (Menifee). In 2023, she went back to Runhappy in the hopes of a full-sibling to Neutralize.
