Client Success: Mastery Filly Edges Clear On Debut at Fair Grounds

Dallas Volunteer (f, 3, Mastery–Dido, by Bernstein)

Dallas Volunteer (f, 3, Mastery—Dido, by Bernstein) won her debut race on a sealed Fair Grounds track over six furlongs on January 20th. The Mastery filly waited patiently early on under Colby Hernandez, the meet’s leading rider, before tracking from the two path around the turn. She then went four wide entering the stretch before rallying to bid at the furlong marker. The Mastery 3yo won by a widening 1 1/4 lengths over the even-money favorite, Fired Up Tiger (Firing Line), in the final sixteenth. The top two finishers outperformed the third place finisher, Dial Ten for G (Dialed In), by an additional 8 lengths.
