Zoom Erin (Mastery – Zippit E, by My Golden Song)

Zoom Erin, a promising three-year-old filly sired by Mastery, recently delivered an impressive performance in a $50,000 Maiden Special Weight race at Fair Grounds. Owned by Wayne Sanders and Larry Hirsch, trained by Joe Sharp and ridden by James Graham, the filly dominated her rivals to secure her first victory on the turf in her two-race career.

Breaking from the sixth post position, Zoom Erin made her way to the front of the pack early on in the race and maintained her lead throughout. Despite facing challenges from her competitors, the Mastery filly held on to secure a 1 1/2-length victory, signaling her potential for greater success in the future.

Zoom Erin’s breeding is a significant factor in her success, with her sire Mastery being a talented racehorse and son of Candy Ride. Mastery won all four of his career starts, including the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity, and his influence can be seen in the way that Zoom Erin has developed as a racehorse. Her dam, Zippit E, is also a multiple stakes winner who also had a successful racing career.

The OPTIMAL Mating program, designed by Clark Shepherd of Shepherd Equine Advisers, was used to identify the best possible breeding match between Mastery and Zippit E. The breeding program utilizes advanced algorithms and statistical analysis to help breeders make informed decisions about matings. The success of Zoom Erin is a testament to the power of this program, which has helped to produce many talented horses such as G1 winners, Animal Kingdom, Mor Spirit and Drill.
