GRAVITY’S RAINBOW (Distorted Humor) quickly ran up into contention between rivals and prompted the pace while three wide. She moved alongside Likely Choice with three furlongs remaining and secured command approaching the stretch. The bay filly opened up under strong handling by jockey Sheldon Russell in mid stretch and was kept to solid asking to the wire winning by 4 1/4 lengths.
Gravity Rainbow’s dam, Lady of Gold (Medaglia d’Oro) is also represented by her only other offspring, Plot the Dots. He is a current 4yo colt by Uncle Mo who has a record of 12-3-5-1 and earings of $151,892. Lady of Gold is out of a half-sister to 2007 champion older horse and MGISW Lawyer Ron (Langfuhr). She was co-bred as an OPTIMAL Mating by Clark Shepherd & Bert Welker.

I noticed in this filly the 3rd generation did not have the minimum 4 running families.
What made this an optimal mating?
This is not an OPTIMAL Mating. I bred her dam that way.
