HEARTYCONSTITUTION (f, 3, Constitution–Distinct Sparkle, by With Distinction) finished third behind highly rated Hot and Sultry (Speightster) and Little Mombo (Into Mischief) over the same Oaklawn Park strip and distance on Jan. 23. She was the 2-1 second behind her old rival, Little Mombo. She found herself in the middle of the pack early on and eventually moved to the outside after a half mile in 0:46.33. Going four wide late in the turn, Heartyconstitution gained ground and started to mount a serious threat when the field was straightened for the home stretch. Winning by 2 3/4 lengths, the Constitution filly leveled out beautifully and pulled away late under the solid guidance of rider Martin Garcia.

Heartyconstitution was acquired for $200,000 by Clark Shepherd (Shepherd Equine Advisers), bloodstock agent for owners Highlander Training Center and Wayne Sanders at the 2020 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling Sale from the consignment of Bluewater Sales.
