WILL’S SECRET (Will Take Charge – Girls Secret, by Giant’s Causeway)
A homebred campaigned by Willis Horton Racing and trained by Dallas Stewart, Will’s Secret was bred in Kentucky by her owner and is out of the winning Giant’s Causeway mare, Girls Secret. Will’s Secret has an overall race record of three wins and three thirds from seven starts, with earnings of $383,300. She is the first foal out of her dam, who has an unraced 2-year-old colt by Will Take Charge and a Hard Spun yearling colt. The mare was bred back to Hard Spun for 2021.
Will’s Secret will enter the starting gate for Friday’s Kentucky Oaks coming out of the 11 hole at 30-1 odds. The Will Take Charge filly finished third behind fellow Oaks entries, Malathaat (5-2) and Pass the Champagne (15-1), in the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes at Keeneland. Prior to that, she won the Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes and the Marsha Washington Stakes at Oaklawn Park.
