Fast Anna Filly Goes Two For Two At Oaklawn

lexi on the move

Bloodstock agent Clark Shepherd reports that LEXI ON THE MOVE (f, 3, Fast Anna–Invalida, by Street Cry {Ire}) took a track-and-trip event restricted to fillies who had previously sold at auction for $60,000 or less by daylight here Feb. 15, and was backed early and often in this tougher spot to go off at even-money. Away on top, the bay sat perched three wide behind a dueling trio through an opening quarter of :21.94. She ranged up ominously after a :45.30 half, and kicked past her rivals over the top en route to a geared-down, 2 3/4-length tally. New York-bred stakes winner My Italian Rabbi (Competitive Edge) completed the exacta. The winner was offered twice at OBS last year–she RNA’d for $47,000 in April after a :10 2/5 move on a windy day that yielded slower times, but then brought $160,000 in June after covering a furlong in :10 flat. Hailing from a Ned Evans family, Lexi on the Move is the first foal out of an unraced daughter of GISW Malibu Prayer (Malibu Moon). She has a 2-year-old halfsister by Will Take Charge and a yearling half-sister by Super Saver. Her dam was barren to Funtastic for 2020. Sales History: $40,000 Ylg ’18 KEESEP; $47,000 RNA 2yo ’19 OBSAPR; $160,000 2yo ’19 OBSOPN. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $90,000. O-Highlander Training Center; B-Three Chimneys Farm, LLC (KY); T-Robertino Diodoro.

Clark Shepherd (Shepherd Equine Advisers), bloodstock agent for Larry Hirsch (Highlander Training Center), purchased Lexi On the Move at the 2019 OBS April 2YO Sale from the consignment of Julie Davies.
